Prof. Stefan B. Williams

I am a Professor of Marine Robotics at the University of Sydney’Australian Centre for Field Robotics. I lead the Marine Systems group within the ACFR and am the head of Australia’s Integrated Marine Observing System Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Facility.

My research interests focus on aspects of navigation, mapping, planning and control as applied to autonomous marine systems and the interpretation of the data collected by these systems. I have always had a strong focus on fielding real systems in support of scientific applications.
