I am a postgraduate research student in the marine robotics lab at the Australian Centre for Field Robotics. Stefan Williams is my supervisor, and Oscar Pizarro is my auxilliary supervisor.
Since joining the group in March 2012, I have worked on methods of automatically recognising the content in benthic images from our AUVs. My main interest is in hierarchical classification – a supervised learning problem involving a tree of output classes, rather than the more typical flat multi-class case involving a set of mutually exclusive classes.
An up-to-date list of my publications at the ACFR is available here, with a broader set of publications, citations and patents available on my google scholar profile. I also write a data science blog in my spare time.
